Admission requirements

To be considered for admission into the Feliciano School of Business online MBA program, students must have earned a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution. Complete and submit all required admission materials as follows:

  • Completed application
  • Transcripts: Applicants with a non-US degree must submit a course-by-course evaluation that includes U.S. bachelor’s degree equivalency information for their coursework. This must be completed by an accredited agency. 
  • Personal essay: Write a brief statement outlining your education and career goals and explain how an MBA degree from Montclair State University will help you fulfill those objectives.
  • Two letters of recommendation, preferrably from professors who are familiar with your work and/or from employers, supervisors or other professionals who can comment on your background, work experience, and motivation to succeed

International students must also complete the following:

  • English proficiency
    • A minimum TOEFL score of at least 83 on the internet-based test (iBT) or 62 on the paper-based test (pBT).
    • For IELTS test takers, the minimum required score is 6.5.
    • Duolingo English Test minimum Score – 105.
  • Visa: To apply for an F-1 or J-1 visa or to transfer your existing F-1/J-1 record, you are required to apply for a Form I-20 or Form DS-2019 first.
